Files that are ready to underwrite
We do the work up front, so your underwriters spend their time on deals that fit.
- Matched to your criteria. We learn your guidelines and send only requests that fit your deal size, geography, industries and credit standards.
- Complete packages. Each submission includes the application, a deal summary, and the financials, tax returns and bank statements you require, organized and reviewed before it reaches you.
- One point of contact. A dedicated Benchmark advisor handles conditions, questions and closing coordination.
- Secure handling of borrower information. Documents move through encrypted links, our team uses multi-factor sign-in, and we follow a written information security program.
- Clear terms. Our compensation and responsibilities are set out in a written agreement before we send a single file.
- Respect for your relationship. Once you fund a loan, the borrower is your customer.

Questions
Common questions from lenders
What kinds of borrowers do you work with?
Established small and mid-sized businesses, startups and acquisitions that qualify for SBA programs, and commercial real estate investors and owner-users, nationwide.
How do you decide which lenders see a deal?
We match each request to the partners whose guidelines fit it, and we only share a borrower’s information with lenders the borrower has authorized us to approach.
How is Benchmark compensated?
Compensation is set in a written agreement with each partner and disclosed to borrowers as the law requires. We don’t send files until those terms are in place.
Can we send you deals that don’t fit our box?
Yes. Many partners send us requests they can’t do themselves. See our Refer a client page for how we handle those introductions.

Let’s see if we’re a fit
A short call is usually enough to know whether our clients match your programs. Have your guidelines handy, and we’ll take it from there.
Benchmark Commercial Lending arranges commercial financing through a network of third-party lenders and funders and may also lend directly. Partner relationships are governed by written agreements. Nothing on this page is an offer to enter into any agreement or a guarantee of loan volume. Financing is for business purposes only.
